There is a story Rebbe Nachman tells of a prince and a servant's child who were exchanged at birth. Each one grew up living the other's life — until something inside them began to whisper that this isn't who I am.
We are going to sit with this story for seven gatherings. Slowly. Together. Not as a class. As a circle.

The exchange, the inherited life, and the first stirring of remorse.
Living as someone we were never meant to be. The ache of injustice — and then the turn: if Hashem allowed this, how can I keep behaving this way?
Listening to the inner voice and crossing into the unknown.
The ben melech heeds the dream and takes the first job. The merchant's cruelty, the thick forest, the man in the tree, the forest man and the bag of bread — while the ben shifchah sells himself as a slave for that same loaf.
From terror to delight.
The howling of the animals gives way to a hidden song. The forest man hands him the instrument and points him toward the city.
Becoming one who understands one thing from another.
A new faculty awakens — reading reality itself, hearing what's underneath what's said.
Feeling chased, and placing the statue at the center.
The garden you cannot rest in. The act of setting the statue at its heart, and what shifts when a hunted soul finds its center.
The throne sings. The truth is recognized.
The throne is set right and its song returns. At last he knows: I am the true ben melech, and you are the true ben shifchah. Coming home — but changed.

Our Monday gathering

Every session is recorded. Members get a private space to listen back, post their thoughts, ask questions, and continue the conversation between Mondays.

Not at all. We read the story together in plain English, slowly, and reflect on what it stirs in us. Bring your curiosity — that's the only prerequisite.
The circle works best when the same faces come back each week, but life happens. If you miss a session, listen to the recording before the next gathering and do that week's assignment so you stay with us in the story.
